Hi!

I noticed this for years, but only now decided to report.
There a several indicators in the Firefox GUI whether the page is finished loading or is in the procedure of loading. They are (at least):
 - the dots circle icon on the right of the menubar
 - the favicon in the left of the tab title
 - mouse pointer (normal or normal+sandwatch)
 - window status bar on the bottom
 - maybe more (like the progress bar on the right of status bar)

The problem: this indicator are totally out of sync with each other.
One claims the page is finished, while the other claim it is still being loaded.
Or two claim finished, two claim loading. Or any other combination.

Are they all for different information ? If yes, what ?

If no, why are they not consistent ?


This happens almost all time, but say if you need a test case.

Well, it does not "happen all the time".
I just visited (mostly) the same sites as before, but did not experience the bug.

I will post more when I find a way to reproduce.

This bug was reported using Firefox 3.0 or older, which is no longer supported. The bug has also not been changed in over 500 days and is still in UNCO.
Reporter, please retest this bug in Firefox 3.6.10 or later using a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles. If you still see this problem, please update the bug. If you no longer see the bug, please set the resolution to RESOLVED, WORKSFORME.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
