When a list is used in the address field for To:, CC:, or BCC: and within the list a card exits that has an additional email address, that additional email address does not receive the sent email message. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Make a new test_list in address book
2.Make a new card with email and additional email address, and place within test_list
3.Write message, place test_list in To: field, send email
Actual Results:  
email sent to the card's email address and no email is sent to the addtional email address

Expected Results:  
email should be sent to both address specified in the card.

You can't put cards in a mailing list, only e-mail addresses.
It works for me, if I make a card with an additional e-mail address and put that additional e-mail address in my mailing list.
If you want to send to both addresses, you'll have to add both addresses to the list.

Hmz... You can /only/ put cards in a mailing list. If you type the additional address, thunderbird makes a new card for you. I think it is by design however, that mail is only sent to primary address and not to additional address.

This is a must have feature. The only way to currently do this is to have a separate contact for each email address. If you add the secondary email address manually it makes a new contact for that. What's the point of having multiple email addresses for a contact card if you can't send an email to all the address.

This would allow me to sync with Gmail address book. Now I can't because of duplicate contacts and email addresses necessary for mailing lists. For example, now I must do it this way - 1. Smith, John & Jane and 2. Smith2, John & Jane. This is a broken, missing feature.

I'd like to propose that it should be possible to add secondary email addresses from existing contact cards into a mailing list, without automagically creating a new contact card for the secondary email address. Otherwise the email address would be a duplicate.

There's a similar problem here. Duplicated contacts for more than one mail address is not pretty. The list view forces only the display name (if set), if the senders address is the primary mail address. But many of my contacts have two or even three mail accounts. It looks awful in list view when emails come from _NX_ or nl34, just because their senders don't enter their names correctly.
