On the bright side, nagios reports "bm-xserve07.build:root partition is OK: DISK OK - free space: / 27237 MB (35% inode=34%)" but we seem to have only gotten there because it hasn't reported doing anything since the build it finished at 11:52am.
I was on this box just now for bug 458842 (no you can't blame me!), looks like buildbot isn't running at all.

Yeah, I did fix this. As a side-effect, VNC is now working as well.

Morale of the story: "Don't put something that doesn't daemonize in /etc/rc.local"
