(Whiteboard: [nsbeta3+] fix in hand)

The only item that belongs here in this first release is the option to disable
XPInstalls. The notification thing is out, and the install button makes little
sense to me. A single check-box would seem lonely, better to move the option to
the regular Advanced pane where there is plenty of space for this.

The first option needs to be re-worded as well. It says something like
"Automatically install new and updated software" which to me implies some sort
of background update going on. Really this option enables or disables XPInstall
and Trigger sniffing. Because of the XPInstall confirmation dialog there isn't
as much need to disable the feature completely as in Communicator, but the
trigger sniffing could be a privacy issue for some.

Anyway, I suggest "Enable software installation (you will be prompted for each
update)" or something along those lines. If it was placed in a box of its own
we could add a little explanatory text above it rather than trying to cram it
into the checkbox text.

Adding nsbeta3 keyword to bugs which already have nsbeta3 status markings so
the queries don't get all screwed up.

Fixed. You'll now find only the Enable Installation option on the pref panel
and the panel itself is now below Advanced rather than at the "root".

duh. having gone thru bug 41979 and clearing my sinuses, i modify my last
statement above: Software Installation is indeed a panel as a subcategory of
Advanced.
