While the Ctrl-Tab panel is open you are able to resize the panel in using the mouse. At least the former size will be restored when hitting ctrl+tab again. Under such circumstances it's not useful to give users this opportunity.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open at least 3 tabs
2. Press ctrl+tab to open the panel
3. Use the mouse to resize the panel
4. Press ctrl+tab again to focus the next preview

With step 4 the panel is resized back to its original size. IMO we shouldn't allow users to resize the panel.

Not tested on other OS and platforms yet.

Confirmed on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081028 Minefield/3.1b2pre. But, is there a big deal with letting the panel be resized? It sems like it might even be a good feature, if the resize was kept between uses.

This is kinda strange. Resizing the panel cannot be done on my home Vista box with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081028 Minefield/3.1b2pre ID:20081028080518

I am not able to resize the panel on a Vista box (dual boot Mini) using that same build as in comment #2.

Seems like this issue only appears outside of VmWare.

The ctrl-tab panel isn't in FF3.6, right? Are there other UI bits in FF3.6 which would cause this to be a blocker?

I believe this is addressed by the patch in bug 506124, but I'm not sure what i should be looking for in this test case.
