Whenever an item is typed into let’s say the Google search engine, it’d be nice if the browser can remember what I typed. This is so that in future when I want to look up the same thing again, all I have to do is type out the first letter of the word I’m looking for and a whole list pops up and I can scroll down and choose the item I am searching for. I believe this would be much easier if I wanted to go back and search for something I have previously searched for instead of having to type the whole word/phrase again

Hmm... Is this a bug about Firefox or SeaMonkey? If the latter, pàlease paste the long line (or two) found after "Build Identifier" at the bottom of the about: (or Help => About SeaMonkey) page.

Please also check the "Privacy and Security" preferences, to see if you aren't wiping out the search history at closedown.

Reopen if you can reproduce with SeaMonkey v2.0a2 or 2.0a3pre ? (2.0a2 and 2.0a3pre versions aren't stable enough for everyone's daily use yet).
