465121 - firefox freezes when i open links to another page ex when searching on Google and links on websites

whenever i go to click on a link the page partially loads then it freezes.  It is only the window that freezes. Then the whole page turns white including the tool and address bars.  When i go to the task manager to close the window (which is the only way it will close) it says it is still running but the page never shows up.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. search on google or another sight with links
2. click on link to another page
3. 
Actual Results:  
the page loads partially and then it freezes and turns white but is still running according to the task manager but the page never loads

Expected Results:  
the page should load

i never changed any settings or anything though i just installed the update and it started doing this

and why should that stop you from trying the safemode ?

This bug was reported using a version of Firefox that security and stability updates are no longer provided for.  All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3 by selecting 'Check for Updates' in the Help menu or by going to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html

If you can no longer reproduce this bug using the latest Firefox 3.0.x version, please change the status of this bug to 'RESOLVED' 'WORKSFORME'.

Resolving as WORKSFORME.  If the issue appears in Firefox 3.5, we will reopen.
