Today my firefox suddenly started crashing a lot. So i started to look at the problem. I found a really interesting thing. Firefox memory usage was fluctuating really really a lot. In my case i have a habit of opening a lot of tabs and i think so at the time when this problem occurred, i had about 20-25 tabs open. Generally till the previous version i.e. 3.0.3 my memory usage used to be pretty flat at about 350Mb. But in 3.0.4 it started fluctuating violently before crashing. By fluctuating violently i meant that when i saw the memory usage of firefox in Windows Task Manager with a few seconds i saw the memory usage numbers ranging between 300 Mb and 1.1 Gb. I have taken the screenshot of that in the task manager performance tab (but couldn't find the place to uplaod it).

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Did you also test this in safe-mode? This to distinct between Firefox bugs and bugs in add-ons. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
in addition to comment 1, what security softwares (firewall, antivirus, ...) do you use?
The problem is that i can't test this bug in safe mode as my Windows partition died suddenly. I was using AVG 8 free version as an antivirus and didn't had any firewall installed. I used Adblock Plus, CoolIris, StumbleUpon and Foxmark Bookmark Synchronizer Addons and Nasa Night Launch Theme.

Sorry for the late reply
So, what you are saying is that you computer was wiped? So there is most likely impossible to repro in the exact configuration again?
Yes kindof. As my Vista partition crashed with some boot file failing to load and all i can do is use my laptop with Ubuntu and the version 3.0.4 works perfectly in Ubuntu without any issues like i have reported. So i am sorry that i cant reproduce this problem for you all to solve it.
OK, well, if you can reproduce this, please feel free to come back, try what we have given, and reopen this bug.
