Currently there is no indication when a message has been auto saved the last time. Because I can never really be sure I find myself constantly hitting Ctrl+S. I think it would be nice to have the last time the currently edited message has been auto saved written to the status bar. Proof-of-concept patch follows.

The attached patch works but it's missing l10n concerns and probably doesn't work correctly when the auto save fails. I used a global variable because onStatusChange() is called after AutoSave() so any changes to statusText made there are overwritten.

I think we should first port the Thunderbird Activity manager, then leverage on that for all sorts of status notifications.
