every time i send a new email with an inserted or attached image, it is reflected in my sent items as a LOT of garbled text. In addition, information and text from long-ago previously-sent emails also appears in the body of the garbled text. Images are, nevertheless, received clearly in my in-box if i send to myself or to another person. Also the information in the task bar of each of these garbled emails is non-existent. All that appears is 'subject'. Previous sent emails (i.e. before today 7 jan 09) appear fine when viewed. 

I did move all my sent emails to a new folder incase it was a storage problem, restarted my pc but still have the same problem with all sent emails. This is a problem as i cannot view images that I have sent my clients as I use these emails as proof of receipt for my own records.

Did you already tried a compact folder on the sent folder ?
