Hi,

This bug appears twice on my computer, a Windows XP SP2.
I use the automatic upgrade of Thunderbird and from the upgrade 17-->18, i have each upgrade a problem.
I am connected on my computer with a user that does not have the administrator rights. The thunderbird upgrade downloads and installs the upgrade and then i can no more access to the software - No error message appears, the thunderbird process is launched but closes itself immediately without any message - I tried to consult the Windows event logs without any success.
I tried also to connect as an administrator in order to install correctly thunderbird on my computer but it changes nothing.

Last time i change my user's role from Super user to Administrator to fix the issue...But i will no more perform that.

Either you correct your soft by forbid the upgrade for not administrator user, or your correct your soft by realise a package for all the computer's users or i will no more use thunderbird

Do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information
Ciceron
