i was searching for the MOZ_NO_REMOTE option/running different Firefox Versions at once on sumo and the search http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-searchresults.php?locale=en-US&q=different+versions+of+firefox&sa= pointed me to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Running+different+versions+of+Firefox+at+the+same+time which is the Top Hit for this, but http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Running+different+versions+of+Firefox+at+the+same+time results in a login window. Djst told me that this article is longer on sumo. So i think it should also not included in the search.

As I see it, the article exists, but is locked. So users are required to log in to view it, is that right, for all locked articles? In that case, maybe we should turn this bug into not listing locked articles (or non-viewable articles) if you search as logged out.

The article used to be available to users not logged in. We currently use Google for search, so Google indexed that link. At some point in time, it was moved to the archive category for being out of our scope, which requires you to be logged in to view. When we switch search engines, the problem should go away.

Reopening (hope I'm not misunderstanding the problem); http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-searchresults.php?locale=en-US&q=different+versions+of+firefox&sa still produces https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Running+different+versions+of+Firefox+at+the+same+time as its first hit, as described in comment 0.

We don't use old search anymore. I think we should file a bug to add a notification at the top, something like "Try this search with our new search engine" and a link directly to the search page with the search terms filled in.

Yes, indeed, if at least to keep tired and forgetful QA engineers from reopening bugs due to the wrong URL! Verified FIXED on http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-newsearch.php?where=all&locale=en-US&q=using+different+versions+of+firefox&sa=. Paul, please re-close this, and I'll mark it? Thanks!
