Look at the screenshot attached.
As you can see, my bookmarks toolbar suddenly displays two arrows pointing at each other.  They don't react on mouse clicks.
No further side effect(s) except that hoovering the bookmarks shortcuts don't always work. The ones that work and don't work change each time.

A restart of Firefox solves this (cosmetic) problem, a screen refresh doesn't.

Are you able to reproduce the problem in Firefox's safemode?

It happens now and then, dunno why.

Could you find out if the Firefox codebase anywhere contains source code for drawing such arrows ?
That way we can in- or exclude Firefox or one of my plugins.

those are the drop indicator, not sure why in your case they don't disappear but i could guess an add-on compatibility issue

WFM, so i'm resolving
bug 382466 will further change the drop indicator behavior, so feel free to reopen this only if you can reproduce the bug in a minefield nightly that will contain that fix.
