Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090219 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre Ubiquity/0.1.5 ID:20090219020454 and MozMill trunk.

It would be great if the white-space characters could be made visible. Using a button in the toolbar to switch between the enable/disable mode sounds like an easy and good way.
We're gonna push this out past the 1.1 release.

We might move to the Bespin code in a future release and I don't want to invest too much time adding features to this editor code in this release if it won't be portable to the Bespin code base.
