We can't host the CRM on our production servers because PHP 5.2 is not supported, so we need to get the current code up on a VM so I can verify the work that was done by Chicago Tech.

The VM will also allow Trellon, the new firm, to dig around the application as they take over the rest of the development for the CRM.

More info about the previous attempt to get this setup can be found in bug 466221.

This is a new bug so we can better track the CRM in the post-ChicagoTech era.

Can we get this done soon?  Contract for Trellon is ready to be signed and we hope to get started on development next week.

It will be great to have this VM up and the contract with CTC resolved by then.
To clarify, Trellon has agreed to stage the site on their servers (which support PHP 5.2), so they will be able to get started without our VM.  They plan to work on this on their end until we are ready to host the CRM when it's ready for beta.  Current schedule is to have the final migration to Mozilla servers happen sometime in late May.

BUT, it will be nice to have the VM setup internally so we can wrap up the CTC stuff and have an environment where we can checkout their work during major milestones and test the CRM with our community leads and members for feedback during the development cycle.
Lowering priority since Trellon will stage it on their servers, but I'll make sure and get to this asap next week.

Setting up php 5.2 on rhel 5 took a little more work than anticipated. Will try to finish this up over the weekend.

sites up and i was able to login and look around.  i think we're good for now.  i will file a new bug when it's time to sync with the latest code and db from trellon.  we are kicking off that development tomorrow.
