never opens just a crash reporter always comes up

I believe you that you have this problem, but there isn't enough information here to even hazard a guess at a fix. Are you submitting crash reports? If so have you put in a distinguishing comment so we can tell which one is yours?

Have you tried "safe-mode"? Firefox doesn't normally crash on startup, that typically indicates some kind of software incompatibility. safe-mode will disable all your add-ons and temporarily reset some troublesome preferences. I'm guessing in your case it will continue crashing which means there's something installed outside of Firefox. crash stacks as mentioned earlier in the bug will let us know what modules are being loaded. My best guess right now is either something that's really really old or you have malware on your system.

unfortunately this bug is still "incomplete", and given the age you've probably moved on and we won't get any additional information.

I use safari but I would love to get firefox fixed it would have been better if it was sooner thou.
