User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.21 (20090302) The last attachment appears to get corrupted when I read mail via IMAP. When I use POP3 or a web based mail reader I can open the last attachment with no problems. When I use IMAP, the last attachment can't be opened (pdf and ppt files have been used as an example). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send one or more attachment to an email address 2. Access via Thunderbird IMAP. 3. Last file cannot be opened. Actual Results: When a pdf is the last file Adobe Reader 9.1 reports "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired." The error occurs when you double click the attachment or when you save the attachment and then open it with Adobe Reader. Expected Results: The file to open correctly. The file open correctly if I use POP3 or a web-based email reader.

Johnny can you follow the instructions at https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging and attach the imap logs to this bug ? Could you also give a try to thunderbird 3.0 b2 and tell us if you also have the issue with Thunderbird 3.0 b2 ?
Component: General → Networking: IMAP
Product: Thunderbird → MailNews Core
QA Contact: general → networking.imap

(1) Save the attachment of the mail(downloaded via POP3) : say VIA-POP3.PDF (2) Save the attachment of the mail(downloaded via IMAP) : say VIA-IMAP.PDF (3) At command prompt of MS Win: HELP FC FC /N VIA-POP3.PDF VIA-IMAP.PDF FC /B VIA-POP3.PDF VIA-IMAP.PDF Is there any difference in saved files? > When a pdf is the last file Problem of Bug 92111 or Bug 390795? Check IMAP log.
