This bug was found while investigating bug 4033. I believe this is separate from 
the aforementioned bug. The URL points to the test case.

My quote from bug 4033:

Regarding what user features is this stopping: on Windows I guess not much. On
Linux I cannot select the text in the edit box, I can not type into the field
etc. so the only way I can change something there is to use the browse button. I
am not sure if that is due to this bug or something else. In any case that feels
kinda bad to me.

I just tested this on Linux, and I had no problems editing either the File 
widget or the textfield in the sample.
