I have been getting a script error in firefox while attempting to play geotagged youtube vids the my google map embedded on my site. I have no problems in Safari and IE - only firefox. The large map the videos play well:

http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?client=firefox-a&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&channel=s&ie=UTF8&t=h&om=1&s=AARTsJocKZAspKa41PQeH9bIqy2rtnKlgw&msa=0&msid=105609701584765113301.00000111c23b969429817&ll=51.193115,-106.831055&spn=3.098503,5.987549&z=7&output=embed:3

its only when attempting to view through the small embedded map on my site.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to year01.com/pixelgrain
2.scroll to bottom of page and click on a blue or green icon..
3.error message will appear and crashes browser

Expected Results:

I can confirm the problem with Firefox 3.0, but this appears to be fixed in the next release, Firefox 3.5. You can try it out: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-1.9.1/

"Fixed" range is: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=72f100a276c8&tochange=425e38fb23ef
Hi Ria,

Thanks for your response. I downloaded 3.5 from the mozilla link and when I opened the dmg file I got a version of Shiretoko. The videos on the map play fine now but what about this message on Mozilla:

"Current users of Mozilla Firefox should not use Shiretoko Alpha 1."

most people viewing my site are using firefox 3.0 Can't the problem be fixed in 3.0?

thanks,
michael
This bug was caused by Bug 398446 but in this bug I see no dependent bugs similar to your problem, so it seems that nobody has complained about a bug similar to your problem until now. And this makes it highly unlikely that it will be repaired for Firefox 3.0.
Existing releases are usually only updated with stability and security fixes. Patches always have the risk in them that they will cause fallout (new other bugs), which is unacceptable in a public release.
Firefox 3.5 has now been released in a final version. All users are encouraged to upgrade to it.
