It appears that the Flip4Mac plugin is sometimes causing Firefox to crash on startup. A user in Live Chat fixed bp-a86c9bd2-647c-4641-9706-e753d2090529 by deleting the Flip4Mac plugin from /Library/Internet Plugins. We also saw a nearly identical report yesterday from another user, bp-2fa5269b-a852-4e03-b540-fb1612090528. I'm filing this as unconfirmed since I am not able to reproduce it.
Matthew: This is filed against trunk but the two crash reports seem to indicate 3.0.0.x was involved. Also would be helpful to know which version of Flip for Mac may have been involved here.
Let's get some Telestream people on this bug too.
I selected the wrong version when filing, it should be 3.0.x. (No one reporting this bug has attempted to reproduce it with a 3.5 build yet)

I don't have the version of flip4mac involved, but we will try to get it the next time a user reports this on SUMO.

Looks like this is actually huludesktopplugin. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes#Hulu_Desktop_-_Mac_OS_X and https://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=360747&forumId=3

Summary: Some versions of Flip4Mac plugin causing crash on startup [@ @0x8fe053f6 ] → Some versions of Hulu Desktop plugin causing crash on startup [@ @0x8fe053f6 ]
I was able to confirm with two users that removing Hulu Desktop Plugin from /Library/Internet Plugins fixed this crash. This is the Info.plist file from an affected version of the plugin, as sent by a user crashing with this stack. (It appears to be some sort of demo version, since the description string is "blah blah blah")

The original user who had reported fixing this crash by removing Flip4Mac also had Hulu Desktop Plugin installed, so Flip4Mac seems not to be involved.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
