Since we can't reliably determine if a hardware keyboard is available, let's provide users an option to disable it entirely.
Flags: wanted-fennec1.0+
Summary: provide option to not show the virtual keyboard → [VKB]provide option to not show the virtual keyboard

To check if the Windows phone your application is running on has a physical keyboard, query the registry value HasKeyboard under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shell

The value of HasKeyboard will be set to 1 if there is a physical keyboard present on the device.

But if it were that easy, you wouldn't have written "we can't reliably determine..."
Is this an old WinMo bug, or do we still care about this for MaeMo/Android?
Not this particular bug. New issues should be filed as new bugs
