User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/528.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Safari/528.16
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090223 Thunderbird/3.0b2

When I open some messages, instead of loading images and formatting, Thunderbird loads plaintext source code. It also fails to display any message information in the message header area.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive a message with CSS formatting
2. View message in pane or in separate window
Actual Results:
Displayed plaintext source code, and omitted any message information in the header area.

Expected Results:
Displayed formatted text and images, with full header information.

I am using the Silvermel 1.1.2 theme, but this error occurs with the default theme as well.
The error has so far occurred with a Twitter notification message and a ThinkGeek newsletter.
This error is always reproducible on the emails which it affects, but does not affect the majority of messages.
Can you attach a message sample?

Note the lack of header information, the lack of formatting and the presence of code rather than content.
It seems similare to bug #366632, also if in this case mail client is Roving Constant Contact 0 (http://www.constantcontact.com)...

No mail header at proper position. It looks garbages before mail header by server.

How did you save the data by what program? You saved the mail to .eml and attach the .eml file?
Content of file you attached is same as display by "View/Message Source" of Thunderbird?
Who passed such mail data to Thunderbird?
POP3 server? IMAP server? Local mail proxy for web mail access?
Do you use mail scanning feature of anti-virus software? If yes, port scan type? Local mail proxy type?

tamasys could answer to comment #5, please?
Sorry for not replying, I have been very busy with school...
Anyway, the file I uploaded was literally just a copy and paste of the entire message. No formatting was lost because there wasn't any to begin with.
I use Gmail's IMAP server to get email via Thunderbird.
I do not use mail scanning antivirus software, attachments are scanned when downloaded.

Could you just save the message from thunderbird using File -> save. When you copy paste some additionnal character might get in the way. Thanks in advance.

All the headers are missing - it's like you just saved the content of the email.

That is exactly how it shows up in my inbox - no sender/subject/etc information.
I just saved it out with File->Save.
Can you right click on the folder where this email is and do a rebuild index in properties ?
