Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.14 i586; en-US; m17) Gecko/20000807
BuildID: 2000080712 (M17)

Any of the test URLs on the page
http://www.mozilla.org/quality/security/smoketest.html give "connection refused"
warning and do not work. All of those URLs worked properly from Netscape
Communicator 4.72.  Platform o/s is Caldera Systems OpenLinux [english] (X11; U;
Linux 2.2.14 i586).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Go to http://www.mozilla.org/quality/security/smoketest.html.
Use any of the links provided in the section of the page "Test the SSL
Connection", e.g.:

                         Visit these SSL test sites:

                              SSL check at fortify.net.
SSL Client Info Test presents you with a new
certificate, and asks for your personal certificate.
                              SSL Connection Test at modssl.org.

Actual Results: Connection refused.

Expected Results: Connection accepted.
Perhaps a silly question, but just to get it confirmed:
Have you installed PSM?
Mail from reporter:

"Uh oh -- it doesn't sound silly at all.
What is PSM ?

Thanks,
rcs"

""connection refused" when trying any https:// URL"

There's an explanation about how to install PSM in that bug.
PSM is the Personal Security Manager, and isn't distributed with Mozilla for
licensing reasons. It's freely and easily accessible, however.

Notes about PSM are also found in the relase-notes under link "crypto".
