i did what was suggested - i disabled the theme that i had added on several months ago - that theme was running fine until the last release a new problem though - after i disabled the theme, i went to restore the default toolbar set to get back the search and location bars because for whatever reason it wouldn't let me add them one at a time. i clicked the "done" button and nothing happened - i couldn't get out of the customize toolbar box and i couldn't go anywhere else in the browser - i had to quit in order to get rid of it
