In the Desktop Integration it states different protocols. Why does it says
"http:" and not just "http".

"http:" should be "http"
"https:" should be "https"
"ftp:" should be "ftp"
"chrome:" should be "chrome"
good point. should be trivial to fix for beta3.

Maybe it's trying to teach people how to distinguish URL schemes? If you take
out the colon, then it looks like you're using lower-case acronyms, in which
case why aren't they upper per all English style manuals (HTTP, HTTPS, etc.)?
Is it really clear without the : that these are URI scheme names?

I also wasn't sure if removing the colons is a good idea. It just seems like a
step down as far as the user understanding it goes. cc'ing verah for final
word.
I think that the colons were there to give users a clue about where they might
see these items. So they do serve a purpose in this context. I don't think it's
of earth-shattering importance, but IMHO the colons should stay.
I agree with verah, and can't approve the patch. I'd say this bug is INVALID,
but I'll leave it to the assignee to so resolve it.
