In the Desktop Integration it states different protocols. Why does it says "http:" and not just "http". "http:" should be "http" "https:" should be "https" "ftp:" should be "ftp" "chrome:" should be "chrome"

Maybe it's trying to teach people how to distinguish URL schemes? If you take out the colon, then it looks like you're using lower-case acronyms, in which case why aren't they upper per all English style manuals (HTTP, HTTPS, etc.)? Is it really clear without the : that these are URI scheme names? /be

I also wasn't sure if removing the colons is a good idea. It just seems like a step down as far as the user understanding it goes. cc'ing verah for final word.

I think that the colons were there to give users a clue about where they might see these items. So they do serve a purpose in this context. I don't think it's of earth-shattering importance, but IMHO the colons should stay.

I agree with verah, and can't approve the patch. I'd say this bug is INVALID, but I'll leave it to the assignee to so resolve it. /be
