QA Companion version 1.2.1. Currently I can enter a very long entry in the Comment field when I run a test and I click on PASS/FAIL/UNCLEAR. Perhaps the comment field should be validated for some specified length of text.

The user could paste in a lot of text, we could cap it off at some insane number. Not sure if people would abuse this?
Don't think this is required nor desired. There are instances where a user may be pasting large descriptions or even hefty stack traces. Bugzilla's 'Additional Comments' field does not specify a maximum length for that reason.
