An automated test for this won't run right now since the test plugin only works in Cocoa mode in 64-bit. This will be fixed as soon as we have a 64-bit tinderbox (bug 519060). I'll add more tests for the Cocoa event model when that happens, I want to get some basic support patches in ASAP to allow plugin developers to start testing. I'm doing a lot of testing on my own right now too.
