This happens on other links to Firefox

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on link in Thuderbird
2.Firefox opens start page, then opens linked page
3.

Firefox 3.6b3 continues to load start page then URL as above.

Does this happens when Firefox is running or closed (not running)?
It happens when Firefox is running, eg URL's in documents and when it is closed, eg links in Thunderbird email.  Perhaps it's less frequent through Thunderbird links.
I'm seeing this on the official version of Firefox 3.6 on Mac OS X 10.6.2/Intel. I open a link from Entourage 2008 and it opens 2 windows. One of my home page and behind it the page I was linking too.
