When mail is sent to users, there are custom SMTP headers like "X-Bugzilla-Product" that contain the Product of the bug etc.

When a custom field is added, it would be nice to have the ability to add the custom field into the SMTP header so that users can filter mail based on the custom fields just like the standard fields.

You just have to edit the email template. The bug object will contain all the data you need.
