Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Cannot edit pages in PBworks when using Firefox. Clicking the edit button results in a "Security Error" message. This does not appear to be connected to any specific add-on, but general to Firefox regardless of which add-ons are installed. PBworks pages can otherwise be edited in Internet Explorer and Chrome. The Comment feature and other user settings features in PBworks do not appear to be similarly affected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Register an account with PBworks and create a wiki, if not already registered with one 2. Go to any page within the wiki and click "Edit" Actual Results: "Security Error" message appears at top of screen; PBworks does not open the editing page but remains on the static View page. Expected Results: It should open a page with a text editing box. I have discussed this issue with PBworks and they thought it might relate to a Firefox add-on. They suggested removing the Skype extension, but I have the same problem on another computer using Firefox that does not have that extension installed. Please see if this can be fixed. I love Firefox otherwise, and it's annoying to have to switch to another browser whenever I need to edit a wiki page. This happens with the default theme (I haven't tried another theme). Both computers are PCs. I have not tested this issue with Mac or Linux.

If you start Firefox in safe mode does the issue still exist? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Does the issue exist if you create a new empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles?s=profile

Reporter -> Are you still experiencing this issue? Did you try same mode or a new profile? If it is an extension issue a good place to start is http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

It is still a problem. I am using the same profile from at least a year ago when I was still able to edit in Firefox, so I don't know how a new profile would change this. I can edit with this profile if I am using Chrome or IE. This problem exists even when I don't have any extensions. I just tried it with Firefox in safe mode and get the same error message. Isn't anyone else having the same problem? What happens if one of your staff create a pbworks account and try to edit a wiki page?

A new profile allows us to eliminate the possibility of it being an extension or profile specific issue.
PBworks editing does not work with my existing FF installation and starting FF in safe mode did not solve the problem either, I only get the waiting symbol in both cases and the editing window does not appear. Using a new profile, however, PBworks editing works, i.e. the editing window is shown as expected. I am now trying to figure out what causes the problem in my existing problem.
