User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; MS-RTC LM 8; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0

When new mail arrives in any folder other than inbox, Thunderbird does not show pop-up saying new mail has arrived. Occasionally System tray will have envelope stating new mail but it is not consistent.
I have enabled the option "Check this folder for new messages" and also
mail.check_all_imap_folders_for_new is enabled.
Also, folder won't have any new mail until I click on the folder, then only mail is received.
It is happening to other users too who are using Win XP and Win Vista

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Thunderbird and click on each folder once
2. Suddenly some folder will show a new once it is clicked, not before clicking it and mail would be 1 day old or anytime
3.
Actual Results:
New mail arrives only when I click on each folder in Thunderbird

Expected Results:
Mail should arrive automatically in each folder and there should be pop-up for each new mail.

We have Microsoft Exchange 2007 with latest SP and patches as our mail server and Thunderbird 2 and 3 as mail clients.
This sounds a lot like bug 523800 , is it the same ?
Yeap. I am going to update that bug now.
