User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6

It is possible for scripts to disable the highlighting of text in a page. This is an annoyance, interferes with the "fair use" of the text, and is pointless anyway since it is still possible to copy the text using the "View source" menu action.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load page or any sub-page of the above blog (wait for completion)
2. Attempt to highlight any paragraph
3.
Actual Results:
No text will be highlighted

Expected Results:
Text should have been highlighted; at least, an option should be present to prevent scripts from disabling highlighting.
Confirmed with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100107 Minefield/3.7a1pre
and the findbar finds no text.
