Less is better for a v1 implementation of this, but I think that we should be recording the audio content of the platform development meeting and archiving it somewhere. I'm led to believe that this is possible with Asterix. Is that right?
Yeah, meetings can be recorded at will, we already do this with several of them. Recordings are usually extracted on an on-demand basis, since there's not an easy way to get them out in an automated fashion without compromising security in one direction or the other because of the peculiarities of the firewall there.

It would definitely be cool to find a way to automate it though.

Even if there was a button I could press at the start of the meeting. It would just be great to be able to publish audio files for people who weren't able to attend.

+1.

I'm just back from vacation, and the notes in weekly platform/release meeting do not give enough detail, so I cant figure out context on some decisions made. While traveling, I heard similarly from folks in S.E. Asia who are unable to attend because the meeting is held during their night.

There are actually two things being asked for here:

1) The RingRing web UI gives options to record calls for a given extension:
* Don't record
* Record all calls
* Record calls selectively by pressing a key sequence
(Some surfing the web, looks like "#9" is the default key sequence, but I could not get this to record using either of these options. Justdave, is this disabled in our install, or do I need more privs?)

2) Once we have a record audio file, of some format, in some location, how do we move it to a publicly accessible location? Ideally, it could also be linked to from the meeting notes, to make it really easy to find. No idea what is involved here. If there is something we can do manually, that would be great way to start so we can find out if remote people find this as useful as we hear.

How do I start/stop recording a call on ringring?

I don't think this applies anymore. With AirMo we record everything now which is a better solution than having Asterisk do it.
