The FTP is unusable in Mozilla, must be nsbeta3+. Plaese take some attention on this major problem!!! For example go to: 1. ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/ - no directory listing. 2. ftp://ftp.danadata.dk/ - nothing shown. 3. ftp://ftp.infonet.ee/pub/software/windows/ - not all dirs are listed (only first 2) 4. ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/ - not all dirs are listed (only first 2) Need more?

Additionally these two FTPs has the same problem. 1) ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/ is only displaying the first two (2) folders and no "Up to higher level directory" 2) ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS is showing nothing.

Marking it so will not get anybody looking at the problem, unless you mean to fix the bug yourself, in which cased you should have reassigned it. There are too many types of FTP listings for us to be able to support them all in this release, but the mozill.org problem is embarassing, as I can confirm in yesterday's N6 trunk verification build on Win98. Clearing status whiteboard. Gagan, could you commment on this nomination?
Whiteboard: [rtm+ need info]
I agree with Peter's assessment and considering the limited number of bugs we can fix this will have to be a minus for both the nominations. Also ->rjc for the right bucket

Two more questions: Would you take outside help on this (i.e, add HelpWanted keywrod)? Has anyone had problems on ftp.netscape.com? That would probably raise the priority.

Yes. It also displays only first 2 entries. Checked: NS6 PR3 (2000092908) Mozilla (2000100320)

FTP'ing to both ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly and ftp://ftp.netscape.com/ WORKSFORME with a build of the tip from today.

How can I help? I'm not a programmer, but I can post some debug. Just say what and how. I see this bug very long (with new HDD, new profiles, win98se, win2000). Also is an ftp issue the absence of Last Modifyed (bug 30994).

I'm seeing that on every FTP page I'm visiting (win32 2000-01-05-04 trunk): Only 2 entries (diectories/files) per directory are shown. Taht means, e.g. at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/nightly/ I get the first 2 entries, if I click the twisty on one of those 2 directories, the first 2 entries of that subdirectory are shown (and so on, if you have another dir in there). If that also happens in branch builds, NS6 FTP support would be unuseable for a big number of people... BTW, is this also happening on other platforms than win32?

Just saw that #51664 is older and it's summary line is better. Settng all the keywords there, too - and duping. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 51446 ***
