Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100111 Thunderbird/3.0.1

When you view the Address Book, the Personal Address Book is initially selected (in the left pane) and shown (its entries are shown in the right pane). Selecting the "Collected Addresses" book (on the left pane) should change the right pane's contents to show all of the collected address entries. It does not. No refresh of the right pane occurs at all (it remains showing the Personal Address Book entries).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools | Address Book
2. Click to select the Collected Addresses book (in the left pane).
3. Entries in the right pane don't change (it remains showing the Personal Address Book entries).
Actual Results:
The Personal Address Book entries still show on the right pane, even though "Collected Addresses" is selected/highlighted in the left pane.

Expected Results:
The right pane should refresh to show the Collected Addresses entries.

Default theme in use. Address book was converted from Netscape 7.2
Version: unspecified → 3.0
do you see anything in error console?
Yes:

Error: gSearchInput is null
Source File: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abCommon.js
Line: 588

This error occurs as soon as I open the Address Book (from the Tools menu), and then again every time I select a different address book.
Additional info: I have the Quick Search bar hidden (by customizing the tool bar). If I un-hide the Quick Search bar, the problem (and the error msg) goes away.
yup, you are the winner of a dup :)
