Please provide the ability to place the "today pane" (whether miniday / todo / both) *under* the folder pane.

This was a default behavior in the past i think, and I find it more usable for my needs.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install lightning
2. Browse the options : none exits.
I agree that this would be a great feature... in the "Vertical View" there just isn't enough room for the today pane, while at least for me there is lots of space below the folders.
Sounds like a good idea to make this the default for the Vertical View. This view isn't well supported by the Lightning team though, so this has no high priority.

It should be quite easy to do in an extension, just hook into the window's DOMContentLoaded event and move the node using javascript.

Summary: Today pane under folder pane → Today pane under folder pane (especially in vertical view mode)
I'm not familiar enough with the Thunderbird code to do this... does anyone have code that does?
Any comments on this bug ?
Any way to help getting progress ? Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer...
Pinging devs, this is good feature, not sure why you removed it. Would be good to be able to place Today Pane bellow folder pane so I have more room for messages.

Would like to bring this up now, after release of Thunderbird 115 and new vertical card view.

Attached is a picture from Thunderbird BLOG. There is no way to use Todays pane with vertical view on most screens. But since in 115 you added "Tags" bellow folder pane, maybe it would be right time to also enable Today pane for same location.

You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
