Bad UI in Step 4 of "Ask a New Question". Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.3a2pre) Gecko/20100215 Minefield/3.7a2pre See attached screenshot. 1. There are several places where the text does not fit the layout and overlap surrounding content. 2. There is a vertical scrollbar (I have a 30-inch screen so having a scrollbar here is unwanted). 3. The phrase "please prove that you are not an unfeeling robot" seems like tech jargon that is inappropriate for end users. 4. "Your question will be publicly viewable on the Firefox Support web site." ok, but how about my email? (if I provide it) 5. The general layout is ugly, everything looks misaligned.

What's your screen resolution? DPI?

I thought we fixed the scrollbar issue? Perhaps not? Mats: any chance you have the css cached? Probably not but worth trying a force reload - Ctrl(Cmd) + F5.

(In reply to comment #1) > What's your screen resolution? DPI? xdpyinfo says: dimensions: 2560x1600 pixels (641x401 millimeters) resolution: 101x101 dots per inch layout.css.dpi is the default (-1) (In reply to comment #2) > Mats: any chance you have the css cached? I tried Shift-Reload, it didn't help.

I found the problem; I have unchecked the "Allow pages to choose their own font..." in my font prefs, since most sites uses far too small font sizes for my preference on this screen. Still, it would be nice if you can make it look reasonable with such a configuration too...

It appears the problem with the style sheet is the hard-coded 'height' in 'em' sizes. I think you can just remove those, or at least change them to use 'min-height' instead.

Thanks, we should fix these. SUMOdevs: let's make sure to test this stuff on Kitsune. Since I can't think of an easy way to automate it, this could use a Litmus test.

Why was this resolved incomplete? I think the problem was clearly diagnosed above. What else do you need to know?

The form that existed when this was filed has been completely replaced--literally none of that code is still in use.

OK, but then fixed/worksforme is the proper resolution.

FIXED EXPIRED is what I used to do for things like this but they took that away.
