Resizing the window as described in a similar bug report for Windows does not help. Even worse, sometimes message filters get disabled somehow. The only way out seems to be to edit the messagfilter.dat file while Thunderbird is not running. I got the same problem with 3.0.1. Reproducible: Always

does this show if you start thunderbird in -safe-mode ? What happens if you erase locastore.rdf from your profile ?

Seems that this was the fault of the Nautipolis theme. If I use the default, then the problem is gone. Sorry, I should have checked this first. Many thanx anyway.
