5516 - tiny boxes get added after inserting space

using 4/26 build of apprunner on Windows 98.

1) launch apprunner
2) launch editor from Task menu
3) insert a space somewhere in the text.
4) hit the space bar to insert the space.
5) notice a tiny little box gets added

it shouldn't add any little boxes.

happens only on Windows...

the boxes are gone in today's build.  things are still very wrong with space
behavior on windows - i suspect that weirdness in the windows event model may be
responsible, either directly or by exposing bugs in my stuff.  closing this bug -
i'll open a new m6 bug for the new wrong behavior.

re-opening...still exists in today's build...the build I used was this:

ftp://sweetlou/products/client/seamonkey/windows/32bit/x86/1999-04-29-08/base.zip

this was 1:00 in the morning build.

setting to m6 - enough is broken with typing that this is just the icing on the
cake.  For what it's worth I still beleive that this behavior may be gone already
- I was testing from my own pull&build done around 9am today, which is later than
the build Sujay used.
