Note that the attache differs from the one that I submitted using the web interface. Most of our users are not kerberized, so the default should be plain authentication instead of secure. Any chance of this being put on the web site soon? I have a hundred users I want to migrate to our new email server and would rather have Thunderbird just get the settings right rather than have to wait for Thunderbird to set the settings half-right and then manually edit them. And if not, what's the status of https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration option 2.2? Is it supported and if so, is the DNS TXT record "mailconf=URL" (good) or just an URL (bad)?

Well, you normally need two reviews before a commit, but I've looked over the file, and it seems good to me, so I'll commit it in the near future. > And if not, what's the status of > https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration option 2.2? Is it > supported and if so, is the DNS TXT record "mailconf=URL" (good) or just an URL > (bad)? It's partially implemented, but I don't think it will be in production soon. On the plus side, a patch is in the upcoming 3.1 which will make Thunderbird check http://autoconfig.<domain>/mail/config-v1.xml?emailaddress=<emailaddress> and then http://<domain>/.well-known/autoconfig/mail/config-v1.xml?emailaddress=<emailaddress> and use the config returned from those. Thanks, Blake.
