smichaud: in bug 557770, i created a home for all plugins, i'd like to move your plugin into that home. Before I do so, I'd like your approval. the qacontact is the same one you're currently using, so if you're already watching it, you'll already be getting bugmail for it. I can copy over the description you currently have, but the current one for Java (JEP) is: For problems with the Java Embedding Plugin (.class). info where info links to: http://javaplugin.sourceforge.net/ The Core product description for Java Embedding Plugin is currently: For issues with the Java Embedding Plugin (JEP), a default plug-in in all mozilla.org browser products on Mac OS X. which links to the same url. You can review the product's components here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Plugins

That's fine with me. > You can review the product's components here: > https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Plugins I've looked at this, and basically everything's fine. But the new format seems to change the default assignee from me (smichaud@pobox.com) to nobody@mozilla.org. Probably the default assignee should continue being smichaud@pobox.com. In the new format the Component is "Java (JEP)". I'm a little concerned people won't recognize this, and would prefer it be changed to "Java (Java Embedding Plugin)". I'd also prefer you restore the old description: For issues with the Java Embedding Plugin (JEP), a default plug-in in all mozilla.org browser products on Mac OS X. It's true that the JEP currently isn't bundled on the trunk. And it's possible that Sun/Apple's JavaPlugin2 will become the default there. But this description is still true for the vast majority of users (and bug filers). I'm also working on a new JEP that does work on the trunk.
ok, i've gone with: For issues with the Java Embedding Plugin (JEP), a default plug-in in all mozilla.org browser products on Mac OS X (.class). info the .class and info bits are just to make things consistent with all of the others both 'info' and Java Embedding Plugin (JEP) link to the same place. I've set you as the default assignee. --- Deleted Product: Core Component: Java Embedding Plugin For issues with the <a href="http://javaplugin.sourceforge.net">Java Embedding Plugin (JEP)</a>, a default plug-in in all mozilla.org browser products on Mac OS X. Default assignee: smichaud@pobox.com Default QA contact: jep-java@plugins.bugs All bugs were moved to: Product: Plugins Component: Java (Java Embedding Plugin) --- I also changed all of the components to use 'issues' instead of 'problems' and updated the Java (Apple) component description to point to the updated name of the live component.
