Every single command gets script error."a script running no responsive. Having to force quit.What is the script name and what does it do.. And why cant it be eliminated?

When firefox is started and the main screen appears if you select mail when you mail window visible and you select mail then spinning pizza wheel, after 3 minutes,scripting error :"A SCRIPT THAT IS RUNNING NOT RESPONDING STOP OR CONTINUE,ENTER STOP AND SPINNING PIZZA WHEEL, HAVING to force quit firefox and restarting then all is well until you shutdown and start up another time.One more little problem that is annoying, when firefox loads you have two windows, if you select another application then you have 3 windows etc etc etc...

Steps to Reproduce:
1.completely shut down fire fox if possible other wise its force quit time.
2.restart firefox when url finishes loading and you select.
3.IE mail,news,rss feeds,sending new email to others. I feel like i am computing on a DOS PC which this type of situation occurs ALL THE TIME..Send me the source code and i can fix this for the macintosh users of the world..
Actual Results:  
Selected, ya hoo mail, attempting to open email, spinning pizza wheel.scripting error:a script running not responding stop or continue. force quit firefox.

Expected Results:  
Restarted firefox and selected mail and everything working, but you have to force quit firefox..

Should open email, or rss feeds, or sports, or any other application, nba.com,mlb.com.. etc..
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

Also, ensure you update all your plugins (Flash, Reader, java, quicktime, etc) to the latest version available on the vendor's website.

This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is
far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox
3.6.x or later and a new profile
(http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the
closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and
comment on the bug.
