User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0(X11;U;Linux armv7l; Nokia N900; en-US;rv:1.9.2.5pre) Gecko/20100513 Namoroka/3.6.5pre Fennec 1.1b2pre

When sharing geolocation information in a second tab, page is empty.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load http://people.mozilla.org/~jmaher/wifi.html
2. Click the "Share Location" button
3. Verify you get a page with your geolocation information as well as a map
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for 3 additional tabs

Actual Results:
When repeating steps 1-3 in the second tab, the page is empty. It does not display the same information as in the first page.

Expected Results:
You will see a screen with some text at the top which has your raw geolocation information followed by a map with your location.

All 4 tabs will have the same information and the browser will not crash.

I've also tried the following.

1. Open Fennec browser
2. Go to Options->Preferences->Clear private data.
3. Close and reopen browser.
4. Load http://people.mozilla.org/~jmaher/wifi.html
5. Click the "Share Location" button
6. Repeat steps 1-3 for 3 additional tabs

Second tab displays the same information as the first one.
But the third one displays empty page.
This is working for me on builds:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv7l; Nokia N900; en-US; rv:1.9.2.5pre) Gecko/20100514 Namoroka/3.6.5pre Fennec/1.1b2pre

and

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv71; Nokia N900; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100513 Namoroka/3.7a5pre Fennec/2.0a1pre

Still reproducible on my device:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv7l; Nokia N900; en-US; rv:1.9.2.5pre)
Gecko/20100517 Namoroka/3.6.5pre Fennec/1.1b2pre

I use a Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet.
After restarting the browser 'Simple access of geolocation' has 3 instances (or number of tabs opened with that URL in the previous session) in 'Your tabs from last time' section (see attached screenshot)
Attached image Screen capture
i've seen this before when the shut down was improper, and there were still tabs open. it wasnt using geolocation though. do you get any errors during the process?
All 3 tabs were opened when I closed the browser ...
So the screenshot attached is not about the page I access (it happens as well if, for example, I access google.com). But it would be nicer to appear only one instance of previously visited sites in "Your tabs from last time"
Oh! So you did have 3 separate tabs open and the 3 tabs had the same web page open.

This bug is _only_ about the tab restore not showing duplicate tabs on the startpage?
The bug is about the issue described in Steps to reproduce and Additional Information sections. I thought the behavior caught in the screenshot is a consequence of that issue.
The third tab in which I open http://people.mozilla.org/~jmaher/wifi.html
is always the empty page (in all tabs, I've selected "Share" button, when the dialog popped up). I've tried last night the following:

1.Uninstall the application.
2.Clear profile.
3.Install back the application (manual installation)
4.Perform steps from Steps to reproduce section

Same behavior...
hi adriana, can we get an update if this bug still happens for you on the latest nightly? if so, please repro and reopen.
bug 578974 still reproduces for me, on latest electrolysis nightly build:

buildIdentifier: BuildMozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux armv7l; fr; rv:2.0b3pre)
Gecko/20100728 Namoroka/4.0b3pre Fennec/2.0a1pre

Furthermore if I wait about 10 seconds after tapping on "Share" button, Fennec crashes with the following message:

FF has crashed. Your tabs will be listed on the Firefox Start page when you restart.
Please help us fix the problem!

Note: the above behavior reproduces always on my Nokia N900 device. Tested on the:

1. http://people.mozilla.org/~jmaher/wifi.html
2. http://aminche.com/node-websocket-server/examples/geoloc.html
This bad behavior is reproducible for Nokia N900 with Build Identifier: Mozilla /5.0 (MAemo;Linux armv7l; rv:2.0b5pre)Gecko/20100826
Namoroka/4.0b5pre Fennec /2.0b1pre

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Fennec
2. Open in first tab http://people.mozilla.org/~jmaher/wifi.html; press share
3. Open a new tab and enter same address; press share
4. Repeat step 3

After step 2 and 3, the coordinates of my location are display together with a google map for teh area.
After step 4 is loaded an empty page, blank one which is wrong behavior.
