That would sure be nice, in my case I was downloading lots of similarly named files DELL_MFP-COLOR-LASER-3115CN_A07_R257783.exe , DELL_MFP-COLOR-LASER-3115CN_A05_R307935.exe , etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go download a file your computer doesn't recognize, e.g. on Win or Linux click "Mac" on http://nightly.mozilla.org/ 2. In the "Opening blahblah.xyz" dialog that appears, try to select or copy the file name that appears as You have chosen to open blahblah.xyz" Actual Results: Strangely, you can't do it. Expected Results: It's useful text in a window, you should be able to select and copy it! The dialog box is http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/toolkit/mozapps/downloads/content/unknownContentType.xul and this particular item is <description id="location" I think any XUL description should be copyable.
