People are crapping all over our website with personas like https://next.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/161601/. No one is actually going to install that junk, it's just spam.

From a user perspective, tons of janky personas get in the way of finding good personas.

From an engineering perspective, we're doing a lot of work to support personas that nobody is using.
For the record, I have 49,732 personas with 0 users out of 142,441.
For the record, I don't think we should remove personas with 0 users. Junk/ugly is subjective and I think we need better ways to sort and search personas. 0 users could also mean it's hard to view all personas and many are simply being missed.
Closing, Fligtar and I say no :)

I think that's the main point this bug surfaces: There are an abundance of bad personas out there, and if it's hard to find the good ones in the pool of bad ones, we need to do something.

Though I am thinking, AMO's regular rating/review mechanism might go a long way to achieve that.

Agreed, but a requirement that you need >= 1 users to keep your persona on AMO/getpersonas.com is a poor judgement of quality. We definitely do need better browsing and sorting tools.

ADUs and 'movers' are a decent evaluation of quality, ratings will probably correlate with them.

I'm 100% for allowing users to create any type of persona, which will always mean we'll have crappy ones. I don't think we should reject for crappiness. Perhaps some sort of curated, continually updated 'best of' personas?
I know I look through the pages trying to find the ones I used to have, only to get tired of looking for them.. and give up. Unless you make it easier to search personas, I don't think I will ever pass by 150K of them even if there are both good and crappy ones.
Tagging should help too :)
