I went to a site with an embedded Flash video from Youtube, and I was prompted to install Flash. Upon doing so and restarting, the video still does not load and I am once again prompted to install the Flash plugin.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to youtube.com
2. Click on any video
3. ????
4. Profit (Flash doesn't work)
Actual Results:
I am prompted to install Flash, and after doing so, the video does not load and I am prompted to install Flash again.

Expected Results:
The video to load.
Using Windows XP. Today I was upgraded to the latesf firfox 3.6.4. Was prompted to upgrade my Flash to the latest. So I clicked on the link, installed the latest. Restarted Firefox. Went to Pandora.com to listen to music. It tells me Flash has crashed and asks me to send a crash report to Adobe. Restarted Firefox. Same results. Note that my 40 free hours of Pandora were seconds from being "up". Now that the 40 hours are up and I get the "40 hours are up" mesage, I can't duplicate it, possibly because Flash hasn't been activated.
Pandora was working fine before the upgrade. Internet explorer worked fine with Pandora.

If you read the bug, this is regarding the 3.7 r6 Firefox release. I have personally confirmed along with many other people that 3.6.4 works just fine with Flash in normal circumstances. Have you upgraded your Flash to 10.1?
I loaded Flash first from the link that Firefox displayed. Then later I reloaded it directly from Adobe. I rebooted the computer a couple of times, ran a Vipre antivirus scan on the drive, which found nothing. Let it sit over the weekend. Started it up today Friday 7/2 and it ran fine for 1 song. Pandora was working. Flash was fine. After the first song concluded, I now have a message that Flash has crashed. Rhetorical qwestion: I wonder if the Vipre firewall, which blocks the ads, is causing the problem. I will run Pandora on IE as an experiment.

Reinstalled Flash 10.1 with IE. Ran Pandora on IE for several hours with no problem. Closed IE, started Firefox with Pandora (pandora.com). Played 1 song and after the song concluded, Flash crashed. Nothing has been blocked by my firewall.
Without rebooting, I closed Firefox and am running Pandora on IE. will watch it for a while.

IE, Flash and pandora all all working fine.

Firefox and Flash worked fine before the upgrade a few days ago.

Hope this helps.
Thanks
Dale Lee
I think I figured out what is happening to crash Flash. On the Pandora.com web site, they use Flash. If the computer processor gets too busy, a message pops up over Pandora that says something like "A script is causing Flash 10.0 to run slowly. If this continues, it may make the computer unstable or crash. Do you wish to continue to run the script?"

In Firefox, when that error message should come up, it crashes Flash instead. In IE, this message comes up correctly and doesn't crash Flash.

I am using Firefox on a slow 700 Mhz laptop. You probably won't see the problem on a faster machine until you load up the processor enough to get the Flash error message.
Does this still happen with firefox 4 final and flash 10.2?

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 4 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also, ensure you have the most up to date graphics drivers, operating system updates, and plugin versions (flash, java, etc). If you continue to see this issue with the newest Firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
