just wanted ot let you guys know. i had issues trying to update from 3.6.3 to 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 (i actually did not upgrade to 3.6.4 because it wouldn't allow me to)

i am running windows 7 64bit. when it downloads the upgrade, the MS DOS pops up and then restarts firefox back to the original 3.6.3. there are other times when it has the setup screen and i'm unable to click next because i can't "agree" to the terms of use because theres no check mark to click on.


i went to program files and right clicked the firefox.exe and update.exe and set them to run compatible as windows xp service pack 3.

after doing that, i tried again updating firefox and this time it finally worked properly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start with firefox 3.6.3
2. pop up to upgrade, it downloads, tries to install
3.MS DOS pops up and restarts firefox

Please try reversing all of the changes you have made, uninstalling the version you have installed after reversing the changes you have made, installing Firefox 3.6.12, and attempt to update to 3.6.13.

We absolutely have nothing that would bring up an MS DOS prompt during the update process though it is conceivable that changing the defaults might make it so the OS does this.
