Need option to close last email in folder and return to folder when last email is deleted. Current behavior opens previous email in folder.
If reading through latest emails and get to end, prefer to close mail window and show folder instead of some arbitrary other email.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open last email in folder
2. delete the open email
3. previous email displays

Expected Results:
3. email window closes, folder list remains
Component: General → Message Reader UI

I agree. Deleting is a command related to the message itself, not to another one. It could be I want to read the next one later. I think it should be the default behaviour. The workaround is simply to check the last box of the first group in Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Reading & Display.
...by default.

Doug does this still reproduce for you?

Yes, the behavior still exists. Delete last message in folder brings up next previous mail. I've gotten used to it.
