When using the file/save dialog, it cannot be moved (partially) off screen. After perhaps half a second, the dialog repositions itself so it is fully on screen again. Since I'm doing this to get the dialog box out of the way of whatever is underneath it, this is unwanted (and annoying) behaviour.

I like having the dialog at a large size to see more of the file list in the selected directory, but it occasionally means having to move the dialog box partially off screen. Now, the only way to do that is to make the dialog box smaller, move it, then resize it to the larger size. It's a comparatively minor annoyance, but one that gets me several times a day. The lower the screen resolution, the more annoying this is.

The functionality to keep a dialog on screen is useful in case a saved dialog position is (fully) off screen to prevent confusion to the user. It should not be disabled. However, it should not trigger every second or so, especially when the user explicitly moves the dialog (partially) off screen. Maybe only when the dialog box is initially displayed or if there is a desktop resolution change (although I think Windows handles that already).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose to save a file
2. Move the dialog box partially off-screen

Actual Results:
The dialog box repositions itself on-screen every time it is moved partially off-screen.

Expected Results:
The dialog box should stay where I placed it, as long as it's open.

Since this has been resolved somewhere in the past 12 years, I'm closing my own bug report.
