Right now, it's very fiddly to sync files from the staging filestore to the production one. Generally, this is because there are some files that should not be synced -- files related to a different bug. To help minimize human error we should have a tool that's easier to use than rsync with --exclude. One idea is to have a bash script that goes through each changed file and asks "Sync? y/n/(v)iew diff". Regardless of what it looks like, having dry run capability would be good.

Don't think we'll get to this, at least not before PuppetAgain. IMO the onus should be on the person deploying the new files to do the right thing.
